Turkens Or Naked Neck Chickens
Posted By Farm Girls on April 21, 2011
Hello Everyone!
Today we wanted to write about our five new chickens. They’re Turkens (also called Naked Necks). Anyway, a couple of months ago our neighbors needed to get rid of some of their chickens, so they asked us if we wanted to have them. We accepted the chickens. At first we didn’t seem to like them very much. But now we see them as unique. Our Naked Necks actually have some Silkie in them. We can tell by their looks (also, our neighbors said so). The way we can tell is that most of them have five toes, when normally chickens have four. But Silkies have five toes. Our Dominiques had been on strike for a very long time. But since the Turkens laid eggs, it seemed to encourage them to do so. Oh yeah, there are four hens and one rooster. Well, I guess there is not much more to write. Anyway here are some pictures of our new chickens. Enjoy!
God bless!

Hey there! I know this is kinda off topic however I’d figured I’d ask. Would you be interested in exchanging links or maybe guest writing a blog article or vice-versa? My website discusses a lot of the same subjects as yours and I feel we could greatly benefit from each other. If you are interested feel free to shoot me an e-mail.
