After trying different spots for a vegetable garden. We decided to go back to the old spot, the spot in which we had the blueberries for awhile(they didn’t work out, we want to try again with a more southern type). We double dug the beds, which seems to have help greatly. It’s doing better (so far) then any other garden we have done in the past. The tomato horn worms haven’t been a huge problem, but still get in the way. having the the well water close by helps out a lot, in case of draughts. We have had a fun time picking the vegetables, and the strawberries we get. The strawberries produce well for being planted a few months ago. We hope to make the strawberry patch bigger. We should get a good bit of beans in just a few days. We are all excited about how the garden is doing. What we have so far been getting from the garden are Zucchini, Cucumbers, Peppers, Lettuce, and strawberries. The tomatoes are not yet ripe, we got one batch of spinach right before it got too hot, and it tasted so good we all loved it (even Ben who is not to fond of spinach was asking for more).

Hello Everyone!
Today we wanted to write about our five new chickens. They’re Turkens (also called Naked Necks). Anyway, a couple of months ago our neighbors needed to get rid of some of their chickens, so they asked us if we wanted to have them. We accepted the chickens. At first we didn’t seem to like them very much. But now we see them as unique. Our Naked Necks actually have some Silkie in them. We can tell by their looks (also, our neighbors said so). The way we can tell is that most of them have five toes, when normally chickens have four. But Silkies have five toes. Our Dominiques had been on strike for a very long time. But since the Turkens laid eggs, it seemed to encourage them to do so. Oh yeah, there are four hens and one rooster. Well, I guess there is not much more to write. Anyway here are some pictures of our new chickens. Enjoy!

God bless!

A few weeks ago I made Rebecca a sweater (Which is the first sweater I’ve made) and a hat. I made the sweater with a knitting board and the hat with a round loom. It took me about three weeks to finish but I did it, tell me what you think of it! Here are some pictures of the sweater and hat.

Hello, everyone!
We’ve got some spring pictures to show you. Don’t you just love flowers? Rebecca puts a lot of strength in doing those push-ups just to see around. She is really determined to do see us from down there! You wonder why Canadian Geese are there? Well we don’t own any, but it feels like we do. They stay at the pond every now and then. When they do we feed them crackers. They love them!!!!!

Hello everyone! It’s me Mary!
I wanted to tell everyone about the Green Anole (Lizard) we found in September,
I’m sorry I didn’t post about him earlier. We found a male in the woods and we named him Camouflage . So we got a terrarium for him and now he is living happily in the terrarium that is in our bedroom. Here are some pictures of him. He is a great lizard I’m so glad we have him! He can be calm and active at times.Well Bye For now ~!*God Bless Everyone*!~ ~!*Mary*!~

This is Camouflage

Here Is Me Holding Camouflage!

CAMOUFLAGE!

Here he is again!
We have a lot more pictures of him but I don’t want to put them all on right now. Oh and we don’t know how he lost a part of his tail and we took these pictures of him on January 15 2010. It was warmer then usual.
Grace be with you all. Amen. -Hebrews 13:25
